Getting to Södertälje
Södertälje is located approximately 30 kilometres southwest of central Stockholm and is easily accessible by car, train and air. The city is located at the E4/E20 motorway junction and on several of Sweden’s main railway routes.
By car
Södertälje is located where the E4 and E20 motorways meet, making the city easy to reach by car from many parts of Sweden and the Nordic countries.
From Stockholm, follow the E4/E20 south towards Södertälje. If you are arriving from southern Sweden via the E4 or from western Sweden via the E20, you can reach Södertälje without driving through central Stockholm.
By air
For participants flying to NMACI 2027, Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is the main airport.
From Arlanda, you can take SL commuter train line 40 directly to Södertälje Centrum, via Stockholm City. Line 40 operates between Uppsala, Arlanda, Stockholm City and Södertälje Centrum. Commuter trains on the route normally operate at least every 30 minutes.
Tickets from Arlanda
At current 2026 prices, a regular SL single journey ticket costs:
Adult: SEK 43 Discounted fare: SEK 26
The discounted fare is available to passengers including young people under 20, senior citizens and eligible students.
When travelling through Arlanda C railway station, an additional airport station passage fee applies. A combined SL ticket including the Arlanda passage currently costs:
Adult: SEK 200 Discounted fare: SEK 183
If you already have a valid SL ticket, the Arlanda station passage supplement is SEK 157 for passengers aged 18 or over. Passengers under the age of 18 do not pay the passage fee.

By train
Södertälje has excellent rail connections.
Södertälje Syd is served by many regional and long-distance trains and is located on the main railway routes connecting Stockholm with destinations including Gothenburg, Malmö and southern Sweden.
Local buses connect Södertälje Syd with central Södertälje. Current services include bus routes 754 and 788, which travel via Södertälje Syd to Södertälje Centrum. As routes and timetables may change, we recommend checking the latest journey information with SL.
If you are travelling from Stockholm, you can also take an SL commuter train directly to Södertälje Centrum. Commuter train lines 40 and 41 connect Stockholm City with Södertälje Centrum.
